Partner Update: Medivizor

As a healthcare company, our interest lies in the consumer’s interest, and so we’ve sought to form several strategic partnerships with other related healthcare companies to provide customers with the best resources and most current information about the healthcare industry.

One such partnership is with Israel-based company Medivizor, a free resource that offers patients with serious or chronic illnesses access to relevant and personalized information. Launched in August 2013, Medivizor is making waves in the healthcare technology industry.

How it works is once a patient or caregiving signs up, they input information about their diabetes, cancer, heart disease, etc. as well as their age, gender, body weight and other related information to receive an online personalized health report and links to additional reading.

Many of Healthspek’s users have chronic conditions. Through our partnership, we have created a Medivizor spek on Healthspek’s myDashboard that gives users convenient access to Medivisor’s educational services.

Medivizor uses reports and summaries written on a variety of medical conditions by researchers, doctors and other medical professionals. The information patients and caregivers are provided with is continuously updated and written in layman’s terms for easy comprehension.

Recently featured on CBS Radio and in The Boston Globe, Medivizor is receiving praise for giving people a free and reliable alternative to blindly searching for answers on the Internet, which usually results in random and often unreliable information.

Medivizor was also internationally recognized this past June in Paris, France, at the Doctors 2.0 & You International Digital Health Start-Up Contest, where they were awarded first place. The winners of the competition were chosen based on how well they provided a solution to an existing problem, and their likelihood to succeed.

The mission of Medivizor is as follows: To improve the lives of people with serious or chronic medical conditions and those who care for them, and to effectively apply software and the social web to the field of health for the betterment of humanity.

We applaud their vision and support their efforts to put control of people’s healthcare information into their own hands, and that is why we value their partnership. Learn more about Medivizor on their website at www.medivizor.com, or follow them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Medivizor
