On The Marquee

We can no longer claim a spot on Apple’s “Best New Apps” list because, well, they've eliminated the “Best New Apps” list in all categories. But you know what? We don't care… because in the process, Apple gave us an even bigger honor! They created a permanent list of best “Personal Care Apps” in the medical category, and selected Healthspek as one of the 11 listed. We were even chosen to be placed on their pretty marquee. Cheers to that!

A study conducted by LegalZoom.com found that nearly 75 percent of adults do not have a will. They found that three common misconceptions that often lead people to put off making a will are that they are too young, that they don’t have enough money or that their property will automatically be passed down to the next of kin.

Bragging Rights

Healthspek has had an amazing past year full of expos, conventions and new additions to the Healthspek app! Since late spring the Healthspek team has had the opportunity to attend and present at several exciting conferences around the country. As someone new to the tech world, I have been fascinated by the abundance of creative, important work that is going on in healthcare technology and wanted to share some of my thoughts.

In early June, the Health Data Consortium gathered over 2,000 tech innovators, patient advocates, entrepreneurs, clinicians, researchers and policy makers to D.C. for Health Datapalooza. One of the meeting's goals was to "promote a human-centered health system, powered by health data."
